The Region 4 Professional Development Partnership (R4PDP) is proud to have received a grant from EEC to provide Educator and Provider Support (EPS) services for the 60 cities and towns of Region 4. The Region 4 PD Partnership, and Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) as the lead agency, develop and implement training, professional development and quality improvement services for center-based and family childcare programs across the region.
The new Massachusetts early childhood and out-of- school time professional development system features a variety of resources, training programs, and support services offered through six regional partnerships.
EEC's objectives the Educator and Provider Support (EPS) system are to provide support for:
- EDUCATORS (all individuals working in all types
of ECE and OST settings) to achieve academic and career enhancing credentials and build Core Competencies, and
- PROVIDERS/PROGRAMS to increase the quality of education and care they provide for children and progress to higher levels of program quality on the Massachusetts Quality Ratings Improvement Scales (QRIS).
Services of the R4PDP program include:
- Information and planning tools to help you map out your own professional development and program improvement goals;
- Trainings that award CEU credits to meet your career development goals;
- Coaching and mentoring activities for providers and educators to focus on building Core Competencies;
- Technical assistance for accreditation and QRIS quality improvement; and
- College courses for those working on academic credentials or needing more advanced training.
The Region 4 Professional Development Partnership (R4PDP) works to keep all providers and educators in the early childhood and out-of-school-time field informed about professional development opportunities and resources to benefit your program quality improvement efforts.
